I’m currently interested in moving from M&A to REIB coverage with the goal of getting into REPE as I majored in finance and real estate in undergrad
Does anybody have any recommendations for what the best groups are in terms of culture, exits and hours?

JPMorgan & Wells are tops. Really any of the BBs for REGAL are where you want to be for REGAL.

Evercore has RE M&A and RE Capital Advisory, Moelis has an RE group in NYC. I am not sure about Lazard, PWP, and PJT but if they do it would be something similar to capital advisory. The reason you want to be at a BB instead of an EB for real estate investment banking is because of the ability to do more than just M&A. You do a lot of debt and equity deals in the bulge brackets because of their balance sheets.
