Prime Brokerage is a rapidly growning business there- SF covers the entire West region. Plus, because PB services HF's, it is an annuity business that will continue to grow. BofA Securities has the advantage of the enormous balance sheet of Bank of America Corporation to leverage off of as well, so there are many opportunities to grow. Officewise, it is smaller than NY- however, BofA Securities in NYC was formed after the merger with Montgomery Securities (a SF Broker/Dealer) and Nations Bank. I think there are enough opportunities at BofA in SF to make it worth your while to look into more seriously. Best of luck!
