I wouldn’t call moelis, Gugg or even pwp second tier. Moelis is a powerhouse in rx and Gugg tech/hc are top tier.
Don't know about Gugg, but Moelis and PWP have been crushing this cycle. Have friends from both heading to places anywhere from Apollo to Centerbridge, General Atlantic to KKR. The class sizes are so small that honestly even one person going to Blackstone is already overrepresentation from the firm.
