Breaking into IB
Hello WSO, Here’s some context, graduated from a non-target top 40 school with a BA degree in the beginning of 2022. No internships because I transferred from a state school and had to take summer classes. Had a low GPA at the end of undergrad. I want to break into IB. I had a job at JPM my senior year in one of their branches for retail banking that required no licensing, I quit that job and took around a year off. I recently got a temp full-time job in back/middle office at MS. Does anyone else have any insight on the path I should take?
MBA is most sure fire (still not sure fire)
Banking kind of sucks though
Networking, strengthening IB skills in free time, if you are passionate and show a strong interest and determination you’ll land it
