Calling back for a decision after interview

Hey guys

I interviewed twice with boutique ibank. They made an exception and interviewed me earlier than everyone else and therefore told me that they could not yet make a decision. Its been almost 3 weeks since my interview and they told me that they should be able to tell me before the week is over. Should I just wait for their response or should I call/send an e-mail? If so, what should I say or write?

Thanks!

Well, most of the stuff I've read on here has said to accept the fact that you were passed over if you dont hear back in the time frame you've been given. I don't know about how long boutiques take though. I would say, send a quick e-mail to someone there, saying that you were told a decision would be made by the end of the week Jan X to Jan Y and that you would like to know the status of their decision. I mean, my guess would be it can only help you.

They time frame has not yet been over though. I was told "In the next two weeks or so" about 11 days ago. I am just anxious on hearing and I don't want to be forgotten. Like I said, I was the first they interviewed. I can't decide if I should e-mail or not. :( So far one yes and one no.

I agree, I know it sucks to wait, but you don't want to seem impatient. I would wait until the end of the week and then e-mail/call.
