Campus Recruiting GPA Problem

We're about to get into the recruiting cycle for junior summer internships at my target school. I went though the orientations and all. I'm trying to land an Equity Research Internship.

The one problem it looks like I'm going to have is that I may not be able to qualify for a lot of the good internships they try to get out of my school since many of them a 3.5 GPA minimum requirement or something like that. I have a 3.3.

It kinda blows but our school's recruiting office keeps telling us you can't apply for jobs where you don't meet all the requirements (GPA being the problem here). Any advice on what I should try and do?

I have maybe two or three close family connections (mom, dad, uncle). One parent is a Director back office at GS/JP/MS but that's unlikely to help for ER. My best bet might be the uncle who's pretty high up at GS/JP/MS, but works in Europe/Asia. Not exactly sure what kind of influence he would have. And then there's family friends, but none of them are really at top banks.

I feel like I have a decent resume. 3 internships. Boutique during my freshman year. BB PWM freshman summer. Accounting SA this past summer at large I-bank.

So what do you guys think I should do about the GPA problem? I'm considering just trying to explain it to the campus recruiters when they do their presentations on campus. I really feel like I should at least try and do something since I don't want my stupid GPA to be the reason I get held back from internships that are here for the taking.

Go in and speak with your career service people. If you have a major GPA, you might be able to qualify with that, but speaking with them could help you get in if you can work something out. Some of the kids at my school did that and were allowed to apply, but I don't think they got interviews (mind you, I was at a non target too though).
