Canceled Internship after IB SA 2021 Offer
Hey fellas I am currently in somewhat of a unique situation and was looking for some advice from the community.
I had an 'incoming internship' listed on my resume for this summer (2020) and luckily landed an offer for an SA 2021 role at a bank. The 'incoming internship' ended up getting cancelled so I wondering if you folks had any advice on how to approach this with HR.
Obviously, I was thinking of giving them an update with a newer version of my resume but any idea if they would conduct a verification check for my cancelled internship i.e. ask for references or for offer letter/proof of employment documentation etc.? Or would they consider this an issue and potentially rescind my offer when the inevitable background check happens a couple months later?

Pretty sure you'll be fine. This really isn't unique as well as a bunch of kids were posting this a couple times a day back in March/April/May. Just let them know sooner rather than later. If they rescinded peoples offers they would have to do so to a good amount of interns
Hey thanks for the response. Yeah, that's what I had in mind too. Any idea if I might have to go through verification process for that internship nonetheless during the background check? Not sure if I'm allowed to share documentation since the internship is cancelled and Idk if the company in question will allow me to do so
