Career Advice - Big 5 Canadian Bank or EB?
My background - I just finished an IB Summer Analyst internship at a lower MM bank focused on a sector unrelated to what I'm interviewing for now.
I've got a superday with a respected EB. The team I'd be working on would be small.
My other option is a big 5 Canadian bank. Friends in the industry have told me it's a good office. My thoughts so far are that the EB may give me a leg up for recruiting in a few years, but the larger bank may be a better opportunity to meet more people in the industry.
Would anyone in the industry like to share some guidance on what your initial impression is, or what you think you would do? Happy to go into further detail over PM. Thanks in advance.
Forgot to mention, the decision would be for a FT Analyst position. I had an offer at the bank where I interned this summer but decided not to go back.
I left on good terms and have had a few people offer to pass my resume to other firms, so pretty sure I didn't burn any bridges.
definitely EB
