I like CT...pretty similar to Thomas Pink. i own shirts from both and can't say one is better than the other.

For those who regularly shop CT, how often do they have their big sales?

I find their shirts to be very large in the body, almost tent-like. I'd recommend trying one on before plunking down the cash fo 10 shirts. That said, I think the quality is great, particularly for the price.
I called their customer service because I was worried about that but they seem to have a pretty good system in place. Can anyone reccomend any othere shirtmakers in the same "league" as CT or TP?
Quality is as good as Pink, but not as pricey.
Personally I like Hugo Boss.
Rickets -- have you tried the slim fit shirts? that might help solve the issue.
bj4224 -- consider Brooks Brothers -- they have some nice shirts in similar price range, as well as some that are even less expensive (I think three for $189 or something like that). I generally buy my shirts from BB, Charles Tyrwhitt or Thomas Pink, and the quality is pretty comparable. There's this perception that Thos. Pink is "better" just because their least expensive shirt features finer stitching and cotton than the least expensive shirts offered by BB and Tyrwhitt, but I think you can find good stuff from all three makers at reasonable prices.
All three companies have sales fairly often. I think you can sign up for alerts via their websites.

Good guess, but alas no. "TireKicker" is a lame reference to the IB due diligence process (i.e. going out and "kicking the tires")...in my own case by doing site visits to a company's properties.
The term can also be used pejoratively when it describes investors in the M&A process who sign CAs but aren't really interested in putting in a bid. They just want to "kick the tires" and glean info from the competition.

My roommate did the Skip Barber Driving School (as opposed to the Racing School) for the 2-day package and said it was the best weekend of his life.

Others you may like to try are Haines and Bonner, Gieves and Hawkes, Hawes and Curtis. Should all be comparable quality.
