I work on another team and have heard there's an MD on the mining team who goes to Brass Rail every week. Another story of how he tried to make out with an analyst on another team. Is this true?

Because of how few banking spots there are in Canada and how much harder it is for immigrants to get those spots (vs the US where they don't give af about anything other than whether you can make the bank money), there are a ton of these weird immigrant hardo bankers in Canada who think they're in some sort of 80s investment banking meme, all while making the same pay as a regional banker in Minneapolis who doesn't need to fork out $3mm for a semi detached home in the 'burbs.

Heard from a reputable source that the bank did an investigation and thread was posted from someone within the mining team. They apparently also forwarded the thread to a number of colleagues under an anonymous email. Both the senior bankers and the individual who posted this thread are being investigated.
