Everything is in the title - joining Citi M&A team soon and I was wondering if you can transfer easily between offices? Also interested by international transfer (NY to LDN…)

Yep. Tried and didn’t work. Pertaining to the comment below about being a ‘high performer’, I’ve consistently rated 1-1 and had the blessing of my group MDs, so not really a valid comment imo Hopefully for your sake things change with Vis at the helm
During recruitment was told if you’re a high performer and want to move it’s not an issue if there’s a spot for you. Could just be propaganda

I wanted to wait for 2/3 years then ask for a move towards a foreign location.
Would delete this I assume you have some family ties to London that are obvious either in who you are (accent) or your resume. Will not be a good lool if team stumbles across this post and knows almost instantly you’re trying to lateral out.
It is possible - know a few who moved from LDN - NYC after 3 years - assuming same can be done in the opposite direction
Interesting, thank you! Was it hard for them to move? I also heard depending on your team it can be an uphill battle, as HR are not keen to push for your case and it is unlikely your team does.
