For Citi's London Assessment Center (AC), here’s what you need to know based on the most helpful WSO content:

  1. Structure of the AC:

    • Typically, you will face three interviews. These are likely to include:
      • Fit/Behavioral Questions: Be ready to discuss your background, motivations, and why you want to work at Citi.
      • Technical Questions: These may cover accounting, DCF, Comps, and potentially LBOs. Ensure you have a solid understanding of these concepts.
      • Case Study: This is a key differentiator from earlier rounds.
  2. Case Study Tips:

    • You will be given a case to analyze and present your recommendations. The case could involve financial or business scenarios, such as evaluating acquisition targets or investment decisions.
    • Preparation:
      • Take notes as you read through the case.
      • Clearly outline your recommendation and back it up with logical reasoning and data.
      • Be prepared to defend your position, as interviewers may play devil’s advocate.
    • Key Skills to Demonstrate:
      • Logical thinking and insightfulness.
      • Knowledge of valuation multiples (e.g., EV/EBITDA, EV/Sales).
      • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  3. How It Differs from the First Round:

    • The AC is more comprehensive and interactive. While the first round may focus on fit and basic technicals, the AC will test your ability to think critically under pressure, especially during the case study.
    • Expect more in-depth questioning and a higher emphasis on defending your ideas.
  4. General Advice:

    • Brush up on market trends and have an outlook on major economies (e.g., S&P 500, China, Eurozone).
    • Prepare a few trade pitches (both short and long) that are not limited to equities.
    • Review bond concepts like duration and convexity, as Citi is known to ask about these.

Even with limited time, focus on these areas to maximize your performance. Good luck!
