Class of 2026 is Totally Screwed!?

Do you think the IB/PE job markets will be improved for when summer 2025 recruitment starts? Really curious to see if hiring picks up as a class of 2026 student. I know return offers were shockingly low this past summer and recruitment for summer 2024 was also difficult for a lot of current juniors.

I’m applying in like 6-8 months not 1.5-2 years what are you talking about. Also I’m at a target with good gpa and internships

your internship would literally be in 2 years and you would start working in 3 years. Imagine trying to predict the job market 3 years in advance. Do you really think this downturn will last 5 years straight. Everyone else on this forum is worried about getting laid off or FT recruiting and you are out here worrying about a problem 3 years in advance

I don’t mean to come off as inconsiderate just genuinely concerned about recruiting. I acknowledged it’s been tough for class of 24 and 25 and I know it sucks
