Do you think the IB/PE job markets will be improved for when summer 2025 recruitment starts? Really curious to see if hiring picks up as a class of 2026 student. I know return offers were shockingly low this past summer and recruitment for summer 2024 was also difficult for a lot of current juniors.

Bruh you are applying for an SA in 1.5-2 years. The macro environment will have little impact on your ability to secure an SA offer as banks have to hire SAs regardless. Worry about your gpa bruh. You ain’t getting shit in 2 years regardless of macro conditions if you have like a 3.0 gpa from some non target

Well if you're applying it means there's a hiring process. The macro environment won't have an impact on how well you perform during interviews. They don't teach you logic in target schools?
your internship would literally be in 2 years and you would start working in 3 years. Imagine trying to predict the job market 3 years in advance. Do you really think this downturn will last 5 years straight. Everyone else on this forum is worried about getting laid off or FT recruiting and you are out here worrying about a problem 3 years in advance
It's a reasonable concern but you are from a target with solid credentials. Even in a down market (even if it's not IB / PE), I'd imagine you'll land on your feet okay.
