Clawback and notice timing
Can I put my two weeks in so my last day is exactly when my clawback ends or do I need to wait until my clawback date to put in my two weeks?

Check the exact wording in your contract, it's different everywhere. I would probably wait until after just to be safe
If you need to know, that's what lawyers are for.
why would you consult an anonymous message board rather than the document itself?
I read the document and couldn’t tell by the language.
Obviously, the legal language in my employment agreement dictates recourse provisions but just curious if there is a rule of thumb. Will ask my lawyer friends if it comes down to it but just getting a sense for timing as I am interviewing around.
I would wait. Banks don’t have to honor the two weeks and could walk you same day. Counter point being you said your last day was after the cutoff but as others have said, just wait to save yourself the headache.
Just do the next day and you’ll save yourself a headache
Thank you folks for all the helpful comments above. I am a similar situation in which I was told that my two-year contract will end by the end of June 2023. I have never taken any vacation or protected week or firm-wide trip due to work commitments since I joined.
If I tell my group that I am going to visit my in law overseas (which is an honest reason) and need to take vacation or PTO hours in the middle of June (meaning they would understand June 15 will be my last day because I won’t come back to employment due to my contract ending), do you think they will try to mess with my bonus payout?
Thanks!
Usually banks are pretty chill about this. They kinda assume you have senioritis for June anyway and rather than pay you to do nothing and then pay your PTO out, they just let you use up your PTO and end early with no impact to bonus.
Thank you kindly for the response.
In my group this is something the staffer discusses at team meetings before the analyst class leaves. depends on the firm but usually this is okay to do. It's totally fair game to ask your staffer/HR about it and I would likely do so on the record (email)
