I'm a high school senior going off to college in the fall. The college isn't the best for business but its not that bad (SUNY Binghamton - state school). What should I do to improve my chances of landing an ibanking job regarding internships/work experience, clubs, anything else (it can be college-related or not)? Thanks.

You're not doomed so don't worry. Just try your best and get the best grades possible. Make sure that you intern and do plenty of volunteer work at your school. Join a bunch of finance/business related clubs and organizations. Contact investment banks directly to find out about possible small time employment opportunities (back office work can be good for starters). Just do whatever you can to GET IN THE LOOP. Once you manage to break into investment banking, you're pretty much good to go. Just don't mess up at whatever firm you work for because it will follow you throughout life.

I'm about to enter my second year (undergrad) and I've been doing it. Made contact with a Managing Director at a great firm. Good stuff. Make friends. It will DEFINITELY help in the end.
how did u contact them? via phone, letter, email? and what did you say?
For those colleges with an alumni database, try using that as a starting point. You can often search by employer and if an alum puts his/her info there they usually respond to emails from current students. However if you are still in high school or an entering freshman, try having fun first and worry about work a bit later.
Ahh...the alma mater. The Business school is pretty respectable in my mind, but you get out what you put in, regardless of where you go. Enjoy State Street!
