Commuting from Williamsburg to Midtown

Currently renting in financial district in ny. Thinking of leasing a place in Williamsburg but wondering if anyone here commutes to midtown from there and what it’s like.

How about from upper east? There are some affordable options for housing there surprisingly

I used to live on 65th between 1st and 2nd and could walk to the office on 57th and Madison. It was pretty chill, but I didn’t have to go into the office that much so ended up moving to the East Village, which was much more fun.

Yeah I've heard that's a good area to be in. Unsure where to look for an apt but maybe if there is a nice 2 or 3bd place in east village I can find with roommates, that'd be a potentially good place to move to
