Compilation of TMT Deals 2019

Question

Hi all!

I'm an undergrad with an upcoming interview for a top IBD TMT group in SF, and I want to make sure I can do the best I can.

What should I make sure I'm very familiar with? Right now I have: 
Deals:

Google / Fitbit
Salesforce / Tableau

Activity:

Uber
Peloton (?)
WeWork

I would appreciate any advice on if the above is necessary/unnecessary.

FYI, the bank is GS. Any updated info on GS's SF TMT performance would also be super helpful.

Most importantly, I'd know one tech company very well - be able to talk about its business model, financials, competitors, if it's over/undervalued, and previous + possible M&A opportunities for the company.

You should probably know more M&A deals that GS was on. It depends on the bank, but some want you to be able to talk about their deals more in depth than deals that they didn't have a role in. So, Google/Fitbit might not be as important to bring up since that was Lazard/Qatalyst I believe.

In regards to GS SF TMT performance, they send people to west coast MFs/UMM PE, Growth Equity, VC, Corp Dev, and HFs focused on tech. I know quite a few that are going to east coast HFs and UMM PE. Still one of the top shops as it is GS TMT but will come down to your interest in tech as the group is quite self/selective (a lot of analysts in the group tend to stay in tech finance or stay for the A2A promote).
