Consumer Retail Question
hey guys,
what are some of the top consumer retail groups out there? Also, do analysts in consumer retail groups at BBs specialize in either consumer products or retail or are they generalists in both? Thanks.
do a search, i posted a big thread on this a couple months ago. top groups past few years have been gs, jpm, centerview, citi. cs has been a part of some of the big deals this year (coke bottlers, tommy hilfiger). in most groups analysts are generalists and do consumer and retail (in jpm they do or at least used to do healthcare as well).
Big dogs are GS, BAML, JPM and Barclays. Centerview holds its own being a boutique.

I will be interning at a BB in the consumer retail group, what do you guys think of this group? Where could I pull out relevant information?
This is a strange question and impossible to answer without knowing the BB. What relevant information?
BB = Goldman, Relevant information regarding the group or to find out what is going on in the industry. thanks again
