cs sa ibd offer in hk but no interview in cs ny, what should i do?

I received an SA offer for CS IBD in HK, but did not receive an on-campus 1st round interview invitation with CS in NY, which is my first choice. Is there a way to leverage this HK offer and turn it into a NY interview?

dude take the opportunity to SA in HK and then leverage for FT in NYC.. could be something youll never get to do again and we are still young

honestly i have no idea.. ive just received my first SA IB offer as well.. just offering my perspective on the idea of SA'ing in HK

don't discount the experience you will have in hong kong. speaking from personal experience, definitely give CS HK a shot. If you really dislike the experience, it's just a matter of an internal interview to get a NY offer.

just be cognizant that from many perspectives, if you have the right set of skills, the HK offer is more valuable than the NY offer. i know of several people who got NY offers who couldnt land HK interviews
