CS senior departures accelerating in the last few days

Hi. Been seeing a lot of Bloomberg pieces on CS senior departures in GIG, FIG, Tech, M&A, ECM, DCM, etc. What are peoples thoughts on the following?

  1. By the time of close, will UBS even get a material number of quality iBankers in the US?
  2. Thoughts on if a lot of seniors leave, layoffs of CS and potentially UBS juniors could be even worse than feared? Just cause there won’t be enough seniors to need the juniors…

I think they have earnings or something next week, we’ll find out more then. The mass exodus of generally accomplished/long tenured seniors is obviously a worrying sign but hard to definitively speculate until next week
