DB IB Check-in
How has DB been performing recently? Looks like there have been lots of new hires over the past couple years. Culture / Hours? Perks? WFH?

Career Resources
Better than before, but still a long way off from DB’s historic reputation. It continues to rank last among the historic BBs on league tables by a lot (for LTM for example it had half or less than half of the TEV of banks like Jef and UBS), and while performance improved toward the end of 2024, Q1 2025 was rough, so it’s unclear yet if the recent momentum is sustainable. Q2 will be more telling.
That said, some of the recent senior hires have been strong, and from what I’ve heard, many of them (like the new HC head) are genuinely great people. Would expect the culture to stay solid, even if the platform still has a lot to prove.
Edit: just to be clear all my thoughts are based on the US solely.
Andrew 'Cal' Callaway is the goat
Great banker and even better person. DB has always had a decent culture relatively, and I am sure he'll make it even better. Culture all flows downwards, and him in a leadership role is a great sign for a group.
Culture, hours, and WFH privileges depend on the coverage or product team you are on. IND is generally known for having the longest hours at the bank and harsh/old-school culture, leading to high turnover vs. groups such as Sponsors or FIG having a more supportive culture for juniors (more stay for A2A).
There's been a large push over the past couple of years to poach senior talent from other platforms to boost M&A, but yet to see any large improvements (pitch-heavy across most coverage groups).
FIG is doing well especially fintech
How so?
Any insight into LevFin culture and hours? Heard its pretty sweaty.
Anyone with a European / London perspective?
They have been gaining market share and now on par with UBS and Barclays

hows the HC team in london?
Anyone have any insight on their US Healthcare group?
Group head went to JPM and is making it absolutely rain while taking the whole team. He took a few MDs and a lot of juniors too. Just did walgreens deal and a few others.
They can keep him. He's an egomaniac and a creep. Terrible person to work with/for
