Know one person in each -- hours aren't great in either (these are DB's top2 groups by dealflow, means juniors have to work) -- but both seem to like the people.
In making your decision, think more about where you want to exit to than the groups themselves. If you want to do RE, go to REGLL. If not, then go Sponsors. Good luck.
Typical hours for each?
Was at one of the groups previously—both are fantastic and have great exits. REGLL exits tend to be real estate focused though whereas FSG is broader. Things may have changed since I left but FSG had more chill hours and REGLL is a bit sweaty, though there are certainly sweatier groups at DB (industrials, healthcare)
Thank you for the insight! Still torn between these groups and the benefit of a bigger group versus smaller one. I would appreciate any insight into the hours for REGLL and the work-life balance etc
