Deal fee/group bonus pool breakdown
I was curious if anyone had any insight into how a group/deal teams bonus pool is broken down?
So lets say a particular group generates $10 million in deal fees for one year, what percentage cut does the bank take off of that, and how much does MD, Director, VP each take home from that?
Also, do banks even break out bonuses this way, or do they take the entire firms bonus pool and allocate more generally to groups based on how they did overall and then let them decide the breakdown?
Any insight you guys might have would be much appreciated. Thanks.
