Dealing with headhunters?
Hi,
Imagine you are at your desk working on a pitch.. the phone rings and you get the call, someone says " Hi my name is Alison Donaldson, I am headhunter from XXX and I am calling you for a position at XXX, I thought you might be interested?"
How do you deal with this situation? Your associates are sitting near you in the cubicle..
Do what I do, just ask to call them back later.
I've had whole conversations with recruiters about interviews I've gone on while sitting near people, you just can't say anything that lets on what you're talking about.
And turn the handset volume on your phone down so no one can hear the caller's voice, obviously.
