Your bonus is that you get reminded you work for a family business and that they get paid first. If Alexandre De Rothschild isn’t happy with the bonus pool, he will reduce accordingly. Now you may ask how does he determine what is acceptable, it depends on what yatch, villa, or art he wants to purchase. Oh yeah, he envies the LVMH family…

You said Rothschild bonuses are the same for all analysts and associates regardless of bucket or group, but that’s not true. Top bucket juniors don’t get the same. They also get the honour of knowing their bonus (or lack of it, in this case), hard work and long hours helped fund some tasteful new art or a yacht for Lars Windhorst.

Well 40% is not even that bad in the current economy (think WB). And AN1‘s only getting a stub bonus for their first weeks of work is also common practice

Heard one of the group with a strong deal flow could pay >100% ... not sure if that's really the case

Many monkey shit but no one can provide any insight... I'm referring to the energy&power group
They are #1 in volume & top 5 in value globally ( In Europe they are even better positioned)
