Career Resources
Depends on what you are looking for; both are great options!
PWP: Higher $ comp, likely better average exits, focus on M&A advisory, anecdotally better “culture” as boutiques have a larger focus on analyst retention.
BofA: Diversity of exits, work on different products like financing too, strength of name outside of finance, heard culture is good here too.
Get a feel for both cultures first, but aside from that — if you are pretty set on comp and exiting to the buy-side, I’d probably rock with PWP. If ur willing to take a pay cut to potentially keep your options open down the line, I’d go with BofA.
Both have pretty strong C&R teams.
Congrats on your BofA offer retard. PWP is way better. It's not even close
bump
EB >
If BofA M&A / Sponsors it’s a toss up. For the coverage groups, easy PWP.
Moelis >>>>>>> PWP > BofA
MoCo is a meme
Insert generic EB vs generic BB comparison,
BB: Something something, you wanna have brand name and different types of deals?
EB: Something something, you wanna make money and only do M&A?
Advice: Something something, your choice at the end of the day
BofA C&R is known for being top tier but heard it's sweaty
Bofa C&R has been pretty lifestyle lately
PWP c&r is known as a lifestyle group (heard directly from analysts there)
