Did High School mess up my chances for IB?

Hi,

In high school I took 11 AP exams. Now I go to Northeastern, and they accepted nearly all of them for credit. That means that I am already a second-semester Junior despite only being on campus for a total of 8 months. This class standing seems to put me out of range for any freshman/sophomore internships, but also leaves me under-qualified for any summer analyst roles.

What is your advice? Should I just use NU co-ops and the alumni to try to lateral into IB after I graduate, or push out my graduation and try to get an IB internship and then try for an SA position?

Thanks

I have a 3.96 GPA, some EC's, and 2 summer finance-related internships in a Fortune 100 company in the Northeast

Pick up a minor and take minimal hours to delay graduation. Network your way into out of season internships - spring/winter/fall. Shit like that.

Companies don't care about your # of hours, just time between internship and graduation. e.g. a Junior internship means that you will be looking for a full time role in ~1 year because you have 2 semesters left. A sophomore internship means you aren't expecting it to convert to a full time offer.
