Didn’t notice a spelling mistake in slide- freaking out
Hey,
I’m 3 weeks in to my SA job and it has been going well so far.
Today, I was told to proofread a slide that my associate had tinkered with. I changed a couple of typos, double spaces etc and sent it back to him, which he then sent on to the client. I checked over this slide at least 5/6 times.
1 hour later I went back on the slide just to play around with formatting and practice and noticed I had missed a spelling mistake. I told my associate about it and he said that he didn’t care and wasn’t the end of the world.
I’m still panicking a bit and can’t stop thinking about it. Don’t really know what I want to hear , but maybe some stories from you guys about mistakes you have made, as I’m currently more worried than I should be
Keep panicking because ur not getting the RO and call it a wraps for banking cuz word probably got out to all the other banks so ur FT prospects r cooked
Cheers have just handed in my notice
Chill brotha, it's not that deep.
didn't the indian from industry die because of this?
Wrong font
OP, F7 is your friend. Use it for everything
It's not that big a deal, just don't do it again
tbh bro, you're probably 100% fine. As much as people say never make a mistake in this industry, it happens and people are more understanding of that nowadays. Just don't make it a habit and you're fine That associate has probably made the same mistake. Would recommend using F7 for spell check in the future though.
This happened to me during my SA in a product group which is why i'm in coverage now. It was a small and stupid mistake, but nonetheless it didn't make the bank look great in front of a client.
Don’t say shit about your own mistakes that have been shipped. Fix it in the back up and keep your lips sealed.
Who cares. I literally messed up a financial analys causing our client to believe their company was worth $200m less than it actually was. Typos happen more often than you'd think.
.
So basically your cooked. Try accounting or sum else
Relax, It happens. Keep your mind sharp and focused on the coming tasks. The past is behind, and the benefits are good memories and the learnings for the future. You'll be fine.
Apologize and quit the job first thing in the morning
Dog shit group if an intern is both the last to update and the last set of eyes on an even remotely important deliverable, don’t worry about the return worry about the lateral
