kidding aside though, I think there are subtle differences: in big4, KPMG and Deloitte tend to do more M&A type work and are more global and prestigious than EY and PwC, which do more restructuring / Corporate Finance.
Can't help much with the valuation firms, maybe someone else can. But from what I hear, D&P are a big name and amongst other valuation firms are probably the top.
