Do Minors Matter During Recruitment? Specifically Mathematics, Statistics, and/or Computer Science?

Currently, I am a freshman pursuing a Finance major, and I am planning on minoring in computer science and mathematics. I initially picked up these minors because I'm interested in the topics AND figured it may help differentiate me from other job applicants. But my question is, how much do employers really care about these minors? Especially in comparison to a double major or simply just majoring in one of the subjects from above?

Minors only matter to the interviewer if they find it interesting/have had that minor when they were in college. If then, be prepared to talk about it because they may bring it up. However, from an objective perspective, minors do not matter. Pick a minor that genuinely interests you.

It’s extremely subjective..I’m a double major and only added my second major because of genuine curiosity. It’s never been bought up in interviews because it hasn’t mattered. A director in a super bought up the most obscure point on my resume once because he’d done the same program as an undergrad, so it’s really subjective and dependent on the situation/person. It should not make/break your recruiting though.
