probably around 4:30-4:45pm @ my PE shop on a Friday...leading up to a long weekend when the office was pretty dead.
When I was an analyst at an iBank, probably 6:00pm once or twice...but usually I would be very happy if I got out by 9-10pm
same boat as nychimp, i've forfeited my dinner allowance a few times, but if I can get out before 10pm, i'm very happy.

The norm during the week is more like 7-8pm.
I'm sure this sounds great to all the IBD people (I'm in RE) but I also don't get IBD comp, so it evens out.
When you say RE. What kind of RE? Don't IBD RE get the same comp as everyone else?
5 pm - and I leave maybe once a week at 5:30pm - boutiques fricking rule.

I worked the week between Christmas and New Years this past year. Best idea ever. I was off the trading floor by 3:30pm every day. Effin beautiful.
i like working that week too...we'd do rotations where one guy would stay in the afternoon and the rest would knock off at lunchtime.
