Early-career predictors of hyper-success in business
We know that being an exceptional junior doesn't always equate to senior success. So, what are the early signs in a finance professional's career that signal they could be on the path to being hyper-successful?
The immediate qualities that come to mind - meticulousness, number-crunching abilities, and work ethic - are the bedrock of a strong analyst or associate, but they don't always translate into being a leader. Some of the biggest rainmakers in the industry weren't necessarily exceptional juniors.
So what exactly do you guys think are these traits? Is it high EQ? Leadership/ability to manage others? At what point does IQ and technical competency get to diminishing returns and soft skills become more important?
