Man... how do these kids get interviews?
It may be stressful, but with some luck as well you should be fine to just focus on the "basic" portion of Mergers and Inquisitions 400 questions in the Accounting, Valuation, DCF, and Enterprise/EV sections. It gives you all you likely need + good context to be able to say "I don't quite know this... but I am aware that X and because of that I imagine Y"
I was in your shoes for my first interview and completely robotically studied techs and then utterly fumbled the "why X bank" and other behaviorals. While I dont want to give you bad advice (becuase of course it ~could~ go terribly) I always found technicals are asked less frequently and of less difficulty than you would expect. If you go in with that mindset, plus you prepare very well on behaviorals, you'll be good.
PM me if you don't have the 400 Qs guide. The newer versions have too much crap in them for only having a week.
Thank you so much just pm'd you
Just grind interview questions (Accounting, DCF, EV/Equity Value, and Valuations) on Chancery. Probably not enough time to go deep into Merger Model and LBO.
