Career Resources
MS for long term career potential , Eldridge if u want to hammer out that pc niche
If it’s early in your career, I would definitely say MS gcm. The pedigree/prestige is much stronger and you’ll likely get more training and deal exposure for exits. Also if you get into the levfin/dcm/alt cap teams they usually consistently have strong exits into MF PC if that’s your end goal.
Eldridge seems like a pretty neat firm from what I could find on it but it’s not very well known and seems like a relatively small shop, exits aren’t going be on the same level as MS (if you are thinking MF PC/PE). If it was Bx it would be a different story.
Could you go a bit deeper into what the buyside exits from ms gcm look like? Had heard that GCM didn’t exit well aside from a few specific teams. Would also love to hear a bit more about what you mentioned regarding MS GCM’s long term career value add.
