Evercore M&A Groups - 2025

Hi all - incoming first year analyst heading into placement, is anyone able to share some insight into which groups are the best at Evercore?

Prioritizing (relatively in this order) deal flow, culture, exits. Also curious which few groups tend to be most competitive to place into.

Thank you!

Industrials and tech have the best dealflow by far

Industrials culture is significantly better - VPs generally look out for juniors, and the analyst classes are super tight / supportive of each other

Media is okay, but you'll spend your time doing boilerplate, smaller sponsor sell sides

Healthcare is huge and not enough deals to go around to get a good experience
