I've been following closely the first quarter results of all the banks to gauge their respective performances. Surprisingly, I found that Evercore now has the largest investment banking franchise, surpassing the usual Lazard and Rothschild (apparently since 2016). Maybe it's just me but this is just an incredible achievement.
The latter two may still generate higher overall revenue but all due to their asset management arms.
Needless to say, advisory revenue wise, these guys rank only below top 3 BBs.
