Firms that are sinking?
Always hear on this site places like RBC, Dyal, Raine, etc. are on the rise but my question is which shops are sinking and will probably fade away within the next 5 years.
I know the popular answers will be DB (although I think the worst is behind them and they should be fine and they will never “fade”). And hear Greenhill while still respected isn’t what it used to be 5-10 years ago.
Any other shops? For example how is Cowen,Stifel, Oppenheimer? Just was curious as you really only hear news on places expanding.
As an Analyst 2 I would expect you to know a little bit more about the industry. Just cause there is a firm that doesn't get a lot of press does not mean they are sinking. I would always do your own research.
Also you have to take most rankings with a grain of salt from the forum. Just because a few RBC interns figured out to use keyboards this summer doesn't actually mean RBC is climbing the ranks and is going to be dethroning GS anytime soon.
