first IB interview

Ok so I go to a small state school in North Carolina and got in touch at a boutique IB specializing in M&A through cold calling/e-mail. One of the manging partners spoke to me over the phone, very laid back questions. It has been a couple weeks and another managing partner wants to speak to me over the phone, however he/she is very busy with transactions/deals and needs a few days to catch up. In the mean time what should I expect from the actual face-to-face interview. I have no IB/finance experience. Recently interned at a very small accounting firm this summer. Since I do not go to Wharton, no IB or consulting firms recruit at my school, so I'm trying to get part-time experience with this IB firms this fall so I can land something at a middle market firm or Wells/BofA hopefully in M&A as a summer analyst next year through networking.

Major is Econ and Finance I'm a junior. I took upper-lever accounting classes this summer and some electives for business major and a couple econ classes which put me on the junior spot. I have not taken any classes in finance.

What should I expect from this interview due to my lack of upper level business classes and relevant work experience?

thanks walkio. anyone else who has experienced a first interview at a boutique IB during their junior year? should i get any technical questions? what kind of work would i normally get? what kind of questions would be smart to ask them after the interview?

how would you create a cashflow is a question i got...very simple.....Sounds like you know your accounting which is important and people dont realize it. Walkio hit the nail on the head with the rest of it.. good luck
