First vs. Second Year in Banking

Is your second-year really easier than your first year in banking, especially if people trust you more and give you more intense assignments? I can see there being less pressure to perform if you've already secured a job next year and you getting out earlier simply because you're more efficient with Excel and PowerPoint, but in terms of pure workload do you think it gets easier?
