Former US Army Infantry Officer, want to move into IB

I graduated from VMI and graduated with a history degree, served four years as an infantry officer and currently work at a startup (coming up on two years at this company) where I built the supply chain and currently run it. I want to move into an analyst role in Investment Banking before I return to school. The main reason I want to move into an analyst role is to continue saving money for school (I used my G.I. Bill for undergrad while I was in the National Guard) and so I can be in a better location to network for a top ten school and to set myself up for an associate position post MBA.

Looking for advice on what I steps I should take to make this happen. Fully aware of the amount of work this will take and the barriers to entry. What are the best places to start to make this happen besides networking and getting up to speed on finance, accounting and other technical info.
