(France) rather a 6 months ECM off cycle at BNP/SocG/CACIB or Big 4 M&A ?

Hello everyone,

For the clarity of my question and your answers, just note that i’m in France.

I have two opportunities, one at BNP/Société Générale/Cacib in ECM and one in the M&A team of Big4 Audit. My goal is, just like many others here ahah, to secure on the longer run a position in the M&A team of a BB-EB. On one hand, I feel that in the ECM department of this big french bank, i will have plenty of things to discover, with a lot of cross-border issue etc. But on the other hand, as I stated before, I want in the longer run to do M&A, so perhaps to start breaking my teeth on it could be worth-it. What do you recommend me dear all ?

Faithfully,
