Fresh university graduate, with CFA® level 2
Hi all,
I am a fresh graduate from Toronto Canada with a Bcom degree, since I was born in the states, Trump will have nothing on me with the work permit issue. I do not have an impressive GPA (3.2), I am hoping that CFA® level 2 can leverage my mediocre grades, which I am expecting to pass this summer. I have 2 questions, what are my chances of landing an analysis position in the big investment banks? The second question is, instead of moving to new york(living expenses is not an issue), should I establish myself in other financial hubs such as Boston or Chicago first? I've sent out my resume on the internet, and I have been getting responses such as fund accountant and options specialist in Boston and Chicago. Thank you all
I'm still a student so take this with a grain of salt.
The CFA doesn't really have muchcorrelation with IB, its most helpful for trading or Asset Management jobs. I'm sure you could turn it into a small booster but it's not going to erase any other problems on your resume.
