From hs to college to IB

Hi all, I am currently a junior in high school and I will shortly be applying to colleges. My overall resume is generally strong, however, not strong enough to get admitted into any ivies and the like. Umich, UNC, UF, UCLA are some schools that I am looking at (upenn as a reach obvi). I have 2 questions that go along with this...

  1. How much of a factor does the college you attend play into the acceptance into a BB for IB? And if so, what colleges does IB heavily recruit from? Plz include non-ivies in the list, as those are the schools I will be applying to.
  2. Do IB's prefer any specific majors, and if so which? I am planning on majoring in finance, is that okay?
