FT IBD superdays at Evercore/Greenhill/Houlihan Lokey/Lazard

I would like to find out how superdays at Evercore/GHL/HL/LAZ look like. I am specifically interested in M&A industry groups, especially: Healthcare, Consumer Products and Industrials for offices in NYC, Chicago and Minneapolis.

1. Which firms give accounting/valuation tests?

2. If you've taken such test, could you please share what kind of questions were asked and what level of accounting/valuation would I have to know. (I assume they are standardized?)

3. What's the structure of superday? 6 x 30 minutes with Associates, VPs and MDs of each group?

4. Overall do you get to meet other candidates as at BBs or it's more 1-on-1 experience?

I would really appreciate any input. I will throw SBs at the best contributors.

I'm pretty sure Houlihan is the only firm to give out finance/accounting tests. Macquarie is known for a reasoning test.

Superday structure is pretty standard no matter what bank. 4-6 interviews. HL tends to be 1v1, whereas Evercore and GHL might 2v1 you. Not sure about Laz.

A lot of boutiques host Superdays that are school specific (or to a set of schools), but you might still seem them waiting in the main area.

dude i don't understand why you're being so crazy about this. superdays are pretty similar across the board. in regards to some your specific questions, 1. as far as i know, for non-lateral hires, HL is the only one that has a written finance/modeling test. My friend took their test, and he said it was very accounting mechanics heavy. 3. Superday structures are at minimum 3-4 interviews and will mostly be a middle/senior guys; senior guys have the most power. regarding 1 v 1 or 2 v 1 you never know. they could have meant to have you do a 2 v 1 and then have one of your interviewers get called away due to a fire drill. 4. You'll see other candidates before your interviews start when you sit in the reception area. After that, you'll probably be shuttled in and out of conference rooms/offices and not see them again.

chill mang.
