Full Time Recruitment

Hi guys need advice here, I am a junior at a non-target who completely missed recruitment in Spring, didn't know how early everything begins and simply dropped the ball. I did equity research at a BB this summer, plan to next summer, and am trying to recruit for banking full time roles (I graduate in spring 26). I know I should be doing IB next summer but basically too late now (on another note if you know of anyone still recruiting PLS LMK). Does anyone have a list of banks and the timeline? or general advice?

Thank you so incredibly much!

If you’re doing ER at the same BB, then I suggest you try to arrange some coffee chats with bankers in the building during your stint. Since you’re using an internal, email they’ll 100% respond.

Just say, “hi X my name is XX and I’m interning with your ER team and did so last summer as well, I want to get a better sense of how our teams interface with each other, want to get coffee sometime this week” they’ll definitely do it and you can share you may be interested in recruiting IB FT.

Bump on internal lateral. That’s probably the easiest route to a ft offer, especially since ER is a pretty transferable experience to banking in terms of the technical side. Honestly, I think you are in better shape than most people who will look to lateral into banking for FT. Also, if you enjoy ER, you should consider staying if you get a return. Timelines really are sporadic while most of the BBs run a formal FT recruitment process towards the later parts of the summer into the Fall. MMs are all over the place and usually require a strong referral. EBs are either really structured or really unorganized depending on the year and bank. Good luck!
