GE - Experienced Commercial Leadership Program (ECLP)

Anybody have any color on GE's Experienced Commercial Leadership Program (ECLP). It's a two-year rotational program for MBAs that feeds into GE Capital and also GE's other businesses (Energy, Tech, NBC, etc).

The reason I ask is I'm heading back to b-school and a older friend/contact who works for GE Equity, and who's also a Booth alum, was very high on this program as a great post-MBA opportunity - the finance guys usually move into GE Capital and advance rather quickly. He was also pretty upfront about the experience & the GE name opening the door for other opportunities. I think the comp isn't spectacular - 100k base & 20-30k bonus in your first year - but the experience is supposedly great.

I thought there were some GE Capital guys on here...just wanted to see if anybody had any info.

I met an alumni who worked in McK for 1 year and then went to GE. Not sure if it was the ECLP, but he said that it was the best move ever. That was almost a few years ago and he's still there. He was from HBS.

He might of gone the ECLP route - I believe it's GE's main recruiting program for marketing/finance background MBAs right out of grad school.

ECLP is not right down the fairway in terms of what I imagine myself doing post-MBA (right now, at least), but GE is great company, there is a whole slew of interesting finance jobs within GE Capital and other sectors, and the ECLP seems to be a great way to move up the ladder rather quickly.

Anyway, that's just what I've gathered so far from one or two folks. Any other feedback is much appreciated.
