Sure- I applied to sales, investing, and trading (NYC).

As for my experience, I’m a recent graduate in the time frame you mentioned. Interned at a large IB doing AM/PWM. Then transitioned to a boutique, mainly because the pay was greater and I was given more responsibility while still attending university. But, I’d recommend sticking with the big brand names. Firms/recruiters seem to care more about that when you’re young.

But the GS early careers program seems to be focused more towards candidates with a non-traditional background. Basically, people who got lost in the cracks of recruiting. It’s a good way to bring in kids from non-target schools or anyone who is a viable candidate at a cheap cost.

So I just got the following email with the subject "Early Careers Recruiting Update."

"We appreciate you taking the time to complete your Goldman Sachs Early Careers HireVue. We have enjoyed becoming familiar with your candidacy, and will continue to consider you for opportunities aligned to your skillset(s) of interest. We operate on a rolling basis as roles become available across the firm, so we’ll be sure to reach out regarding potential next steps if relevant opportunities arise."

I'm assuming this is a rejection email? Two of my applications in the portal still have "Interview" as their status, but I'm guessing that they just haven't updated the system yet?

Hey guys, I’ve neglected looking at this feed for the last 2 weeks. I went through the applying process to offer and I’m now on my second week working for the firm. Shoot me a DM if anyone has questions but I’ll look at all this later and post some info. I’ve been and seen it all so yah haha.
