GOLDMAN SACHS MOBILITY
Currently a SA in IBD trying to move to another group. Networked with teams and MDs but not sure how to proceed. My manager is supportive however would love to learn more about the intra-IBD mobility chances!
Gs prides themselves on their internal mobility. Heard many anecdotes during recruiting.

I think so. Just make sure you check all the other boxes they care about… scrappy, ambitious, network etc

Out of curiosity, why do you want to move? I thought most groups at GS were pretty comparable
They’re not. Especially between coverage vs. financing. Some groups are big on face time.
ah that's a good point, I assumed op was in classics, but which groups are big on face time?
I think the best option for you would be to keep networking with the team you like and then ask those teams for the full-time offer, instead of asking to move during the internship
Yea I agree with this I wouldn’t even try moving during the summer. Never heard of that.
Does anyone have experience switching between the classics group? Heard my group has terrible culture...
