Why do you think they're taking so much time to give details after that initial email last week? Could be debating whether to pay for partial or full summer, or wonder if they're debating whether to take out the hammer and offer FT so they get a leg up on the competition.
Look, while anything is possible, do you really think Guggenheim -- a newly minted member of the EB club -- is going to throw that in the shitter by being the ONLY reputable bank to cancel their internship? Come on. They're probably debating exactly how generous to be. Pay for full 10 weeks? FT offers? If they want to gain a leg up on the competition, they should go balls out and just give out FT offers to everybody. If things don't work out, interns will be on notice that there could be more people let go after 1 year instead of 2... so both the bank and the students assume some risk.
