Have I been ghosted?

Applied to a whole bunch of firms for SA 2022 this spring with little to no networking. Yes, I am a dumbass, but figured things out late. I attend a target and have name brand resume experience. Don't understand why I've only been denied from Citi and Evercore. Applied to PJT RX, Lazard NYC and Houston, Jefferies, KKR, Gugg, Rothschild, Blackstone Infra, and Centerview.

Am I being dumb or haven't a lot of these already started first rounds??

Well it depends. From what I know: KKR, Centerview, and Lazard have pretty much wrapped up. I know Rothschild has been currently doing interviews and Jefferies is office and group dependent.

Have you been able to get any first rounds?

Yea, depends on the firm. I have applied to some of those and have not heard back. Also, it's weird that you are from a target and not even getting a first round. What kind of target is it?

I have gotten rejections for 1. the actual job I got, 6 months after I started and 2. summer internships 2 years later. 90% I never heard from especially if I didn't get a first round

If you haven't heard back you're rejected. Even at a target you need to apply to more than 10 places with no networking... there are still some places recruiting but you absolutely 1000% need to be networking and open to MMs at this point.

Thanks for the advice. Dropped the ball on this apparently. Will have to double down with the BBs over the next few weeks to make up for it.
